Following your bliss is not self-indulgent, but vital; your whole physical system knows that this is the way to be alive in this world and the way to give to the world the very best that you have to offer. There IS a track just waiting for each of us and once on it, doors will open that were not open before and would not open for anyone else. - Joseph Campell

the curse of ang lee

Well, I almost had it.  Ang Lee went a blew a big fat whole in my predictions.  I got 7 out of  8 though.  Still pretty good.  My mom and I usually fast forward through most of it, but somehow we ended up watching way more than I thought we would.  Seth did okay.  At least he's cute, but he didn't do anything particularly good. I thought the opening went on WAY too long.

The biggest surprise, other than Mr. Lee getting his second Oscar, was finding out Daniel Day-Lewis actually has a sense of humor.  Who knew?  He was funny, cute and truly humble.  I don't think people need three Oscars, but at least he deserves them.  Unlike other people I could name.

Anyway, my mom was sure Renee Zellweger was drunk, I wasn't so sure.  I thought Barbara Streisand's voice isn't anything like it used to be.  I wouldn't spend $100+ for tickets to see her sing, that's for sure.  Jennifer got her grand slam.  Pretty impressive.  I started to think there was a chance Argo wouldn't get it, with Life of Pi picking up so much.  I was glad it did.  Adele was awesome.  Overall pretty boring though.
