Following your bliss is not self-indulgent, but vital; your whole physical system knows that this is the way to be alive in this world and the way to give to the world the very best that you have to offer. There IS a track just waiting for each of us and once on it, doors will open that were not open before and would not open for anyone else. - Joseph Campell

Crashingly Beautiful

My first spotlight Tumblr site is Luke Storms' Crashingly Beautiful.  I found his Tumblr searching for Durer woodcuts, and he had the beautiful Nodo Vinciano.  Having only found him yesterday, I haven't been able to dig too deeply into his site.  On the surface I have already found a couple of things we have in common.

He has posted that he's been listening to John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman.  I love this album, and The Johnny Hartman Collection 1947-1972.  I discovered Hartman through Coltrane, and I am actually sad that I have lived so many years not knowing about him.  I truly love Hartman's voice, absolutely essential listening.

One of my favs. I don't think it gets much better than this.

I also spied a painting I had recently pinned.

I am extremely excited to continue digging into Luke's Crashingly Beautiful, and have subscribed to his Intense City site as well.  Good stuff!!
